Description

3M™ 4032 Double Sided Foam Tape is a 1/32"-thick open cell polyurethane foam tape coated on both sides with a firm acrylic adhesive. The foam layer conforms to minor surface irregularities, distributes stress along the bond line, and dampens vibration — distinguishing it from thinner film-based double sided tapes where surface contact is uneven.

This tape is well suited for indoor mounting, panel attachment, and light-duty sealing tasks in manufacturing, electronics assembly, and display fabrication. It is also appropriate for protected exterior applications where the tape remains shielded from direct moisture and UV exposure. The firm acrylic adhesive maintains shear strength against elevated temperatures and solvent exposure within its rated range.

The foam carrier is rated for use between 70°F and 100°F. Consult the 3M™ 4032 data sheet to confirm suitability before specifying for critical or load-bearing applications. Sold as a single roll.
