3M™ 4462 Double Sided Foam Tape features a 1/32" closed cell polyethylene foam carrier with rubber adhesive on both sides, produced in a 1/2" width by 72-yard roll length. The foam carrier conforms to irregular surfaces, filling gaps and distributing stress across bonded joints while providing vibration dampening and impact resistance.
This tape bonds to polyethylene, polypropylene, painted metals, wood, and many other plastic substrates, making it a practical choice for mounting, joining, and light assembly work in manufacturing facilities, retail fixture installation, and commercial construction environments.
